After many months of preparation, a new chapter is beginning for ETL GLOBAL: the central office of the ETL international network is moving to “The Grid”, joining several other ETL offices that were previously dispersed around the city of Essen.

The move marks an important step in the continued development of ETL. In recent years, the group’s presence in Essen has grown, with more colleagues, broader areas of work and new ways of working together. Bringing the teams into one shared location is the logical next step in this development, creating shorter distances, and a stronger common base for future growth.

The Grid brings the Essen-based ETL teams together under one roof for the first time. Located at Kruppstraße 4, within walking distance of Essen Central Station, the building was created for a modern working environment on eight office floors, with space for around 900 workplaces. Its distinctive double-X structure was developed to make good use of a deep inner-city site while bringing plenty of daylight into the office areas.

The building offers a modern, central and well-connected working environment, with space designed for both focused work and joint projects. Meeting rooms, social areas and shared infrastructure support the needs of daily work, where many exchanges that previously required a scheduled call or a trip across the city can now happen within the same building.

For ETL, Essen carries particular significance: it is the city where the group was founded. The move to The Grid, under the shared motto Zusammen wachsen (growing together), connects this origin with the next phase of ETL’s development: closer cooperation and more room to grow together in a joint infrastructure.
