On 10 May 2026, at 11:00 UTC, a team of 48 ETL GLOBAL colleagues and friends from 6 countries took part in the Wings for Life World Run 2026, the annual global charity race raising funds for spinal cord injury research under the motto “Run for those who can’t.”

The Wings for Life World Run is a unique race where participants worldwide start their run at the very same time, competing not against each other, but against a “Catcher Car”: a moving finish line that starts 30 minutes after the race begins, physically in certain locations and virtually for those who participate via app. This year, the global event reached a new record with 346,527 registered participants across 173 countries, raising €9.2 million for spinal cord injury research. Since the first edition, the event has now raised €69.7 million in total.

And here come the ETL GLOBAL results, based on the individual efforts of colleagues and friends who joined the race from their own locations and contributed to a shared team ranking:

This year, the ETL GLOBAL WINGS & FRIENDS team was once again strongly represented by women: 30 of the 48 participants were female, representing 62.5% of the team.

Looking at countries, the largest groups came from Germany, with 19 participants, followed by the UK with 16 participants and Poland with 10 participants. ETL GLOBAL colleagues and friends also joined from Slovenia, Italy and New Zealand, making this year’s team a truly international one again.

Together, all participants running and walking under the ETL GLOBAL flag recorded 496.4 km!

The strongest distance contribution came from the UK team, which covered 199.84 km in total. Germany followed with 154.60 km, while Poland contributed 113.24 km. Slovenia, Italy and New Zealand also added valuable kilometres to the overall ETL GLOBAL result.

Among the women, the longest distances were achieved by Justyna Rybczonek from Poland, with 15.17 km, followed by Anne-Kathrin Steinröder from Germany, with 13.87 km, and Mojca Hercog from Slovenia, with 13.71 km.

Among the men, the ETL GLOBAL top three came entirely from the mgr team in the UK: Jack Shute led the ranking with an impressive 31.50 km, followed by Max Lukaweckyj with 25.06 km and Alec Partington with 20.39 km.

With three runners in the overall ETL GLOBAL top three, the UK team delivered the strongest sporting performance this year, while Germany stood out as the most represented country in the team.

The charity donation collected by ETL GLOBAL colleagues and friends amounted to EUR 2.175, contributing directly to spinal cord injury research through the Wings for Life Foundation.

A warm thank you goes to all colleagues and friends who joined the run, cheered the team, donated, or encouraged others to take part, with a special recognition of the firms who promoted and supported the race:
